Hi y'all! Here are some fantastic photos taken on the Light of Virsa set last summer! Please keep the project in your prayers, as the script for Part 3 is being written! And now...  For those who don't know, Cyber Attack was JVGPictures' first major project. The script for the second section of The Light of Virsa is complete and currently undergoing extensive editing. Post production on the first section of footage has also been taking place. It's been really neat to look back on the first two weeks of filming and see some of the really cool shots that were taken! The first of three sections of filming for The Light of Virsa is completed! Thank you so much to all our wonderful cast and crew for working so hard to make this film a success! We are so thankful to each one of you for the work you have put into this film. From the fantastic crew (pre-production and on-set), to the talented cast, to the awesome transportation managers (parents), the dedication I have witnessed thus far is amazing. The hard work of everyone involved is a blessing beyond words for this film and the directors. I mean it wholeheartedly when I say that if this keeps up, The Light of Virsa will be the best film Clare and Mary have ever made. Currently, Clare and Mary are (besides winding down from two weeks of filming) working on beginning editing stages and starting to work on the script for the next part of the story. We are so excited to tell you all a bit about Clare and Mary's latest project, the Light of Virsa! The Light of Virsa is a fantasy adventure film about a boy who must save his last surviving relative and fulfill an ancient prophecy.  Auditions were on May 4th and we are so blessed by the great actors and crew who are volunteering their time!  Filming is happening in three parts, and the first part is almost over.  The Light of Virsa is one of the most involved films the Vinings have made, involving a real budget, not-that-fake swords, and an actual village set! Hello Everyone! We have some exciting news! Seek First just received a nomination from ICFF, International Christian Film and Music Festival! A laurel will be coming soon! Have you all seen the Beowulf Teaser Trailer we posted back in August? Well, after four months of anxious anticipation, the film is now released! Here is the first post from the costumes blog! (Please Note: The JVGPictures Costumes Blog is no longer up. See this post for why.) Hello! Welcome to the brand new JVGPictures Costumes Blog! From overviews of costumes we've made for films, to hair tutorials, here is where you can find all sorts of information about costumes!  So to start the blog off, here is a post about when some of us got together and ended up doing some cool hair, makeup, and costume stuff! Above is a picture of a costume that Clare Vining put together. The skirt is a tan, short sleeved dress. On top she is wearing a darker tan, lightweight sweater. the green is a small poncho-like item. Other than that she is wearing a brown piece of cloth as a belt. Below is a picture of her hair, done by Katheryne Smith. Makeup was done by Jaden MdO, but unfortunately there's not a very good picture of it. Hi everyone! Here is an overview of the costumes in our short film, David and Goliath. Click here to watch the film. Some of the costumes came together very quickly, while some, like Goliath’s, took a lot of time to figure out. Many of the actors simply put together their own costume, then went to the costumes director for approval. David’s costume: Mary Vining got the idea for David’s costume by searching the internet for what a shepherd boy of that time would have worn. David wears cowboy boots, a white shirt, a tan tunic, a white t-shirt, a brown belt, and a lighter tan cloth, tied in a knot at the back, on his head. Goliath’s costume: This was one of the hardest costumes to figure out. Eventually, after nothing they tried was working, the costumes people just let the actor put together his own costume.
