This page is full of helpful resources for any of you who are also interested in filmmaking.
There are several areas of interest that these resources cover, mostly sound material, and educational material.
Inside of sound, we are including many aspects of sound, including Special FX, ambiance, and music.
For music YouTube has a great audio library!
In the area of sound fx, we usually lean towards using Freesound. Freesound is a great resource for anything from star wars sound effects to rain drops pitter-pattering against an umbrella.
If you are looking for good ambiance, Freesound is, again, the way to go. Freesound has a wide variety of ambiance. There are many dark/mysterious/evil feeling ambiances, as well as airy 'wide open space' type ambiances. From an evil dungeon, to a busy city street, Freesound ambiance is a great option.

If you are looking for educational type resources, our first advise is to get the Filmmaker's Handbook, subtitled, 'A Comprehensive Guide for the Digital Age'.
The Filmmaker's Handbook is a great introduction to filmmaking, and while it may seem intimidating at first, you will soon see that every page is full of interesting facts and tips. The Filmmaker's Handbook also does a great job explaining each and every concept.

If you are looking for something a little less 'Hard-core', we would suggest the video 'How to make a movie'. It is a easy, very basic intro. to filmmaking. We would also suggest Nick Willoughby's 'Digital Filmmaking for Kids' in the For Dummies series. It includes online videos on the For Dummies website.

For some good, mid-level videos on filmmaking, I highly reccomend the Tomorrow's Filmmakers website, at Tomorrowsfilmmakers.com. Some of the video lessons are free, or you can get a monthly subscription. Tomorrow's Filmmakers is my favorite Christian filmmaking website.
