Hello Everyone! Great news! Seek First casting is complete! Additionally, all there is left to do before we can send out the master schedule is double-checking everything. :-) Also, I wanted to share a great quote with you from 1st Assistant Camera Evan Luzi, who started the filmmaking blog, "The Black and Blue". Hey everyone! Yesterday was the April film meet. It was at the Smith's house. We filmed the Easter Story, which will be posted by June! It was super fun and we had some CRAZY COSTUMES!! (Just wait until the video comes out!! :D) Also, we only need one subscriber and we will be to 160! -AMAZING!! We can't wait to start filming Seek First! The storyboarding is underway and casting is almost complete, as is the Master Schedule. Casting for the main roles of the film has been announced:  Role:             Actor: Grace            Lillian O'Flaherty Mark             Sean O'Flaherty Ivanna           Sarah Sherey Nikolai          Logan Hoyt We will send the remaining casting emails tomorrow or the next day. Hey ya'll! Just wanted to give a few updates on Seek First! 1. Casting is in progress! Please pray that we make good decisions on who is to play each character. 2. Storyboarding is now in progress, thanks to our great storyboarding team! 3. Location Scouting is almost complete! We only have to find a few minor locations. That's all for now! Hello Everyone, Today were the Seek First auditions! They went great. We were thrilled to work with so many great people! Everyone was so nice, and really showed so much talent! As a quick update on Seek First pre-production, we now have our main locations, and the script is complete. Please pray for us that we make the best possible decisions regarding the actors for this film, and also that God will use this project for his glory. We are praying for all of ya'll too! Hey guys! I just came across these photos of us at the first film meet, Sept. 2016. This was the day that a cameraman and their PA came along and asked if they could film our house for an upcoming TV series! God was already blessing our efforts, as he continues to do. Want to help further God’s kingdom through film? Calling all Catholic homeschoolers! COME AUDITION FOR JVGPICTURES’  UPCOMING SHORT  FILM! The Film: Seek First is about two teenagers, who give up their desire for fun to follow the words in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you besides.” They agree to help an overwhelmed couple who recently adopted three orphans, and they are determined to make the forlorn and fearful, children feel loved. In giving up the adventure camp that they thought would bring them happiness, the teenagers get  what they wanted most: a brother and sister.  The film keeps a very conservative and Christian stance on language, dress, etc. Seek First will be posted on YouTube/online and entered into film festival(s). Hey ya'll! February's film was so much fun! It was held at my house, and we really learned a lot. The younger kids (age 11 and under) made an Olympic fails video. It was directed by Bernadette Lourdes. The older kids (age 12-15) filmed just a few shots, working on high quality, of a short film depicting Psalm 23. It was great for everyone to try a different crew position than usual. Positions were as follows: Producer: Clare Vining Co-Producer: Mary Vining Director: Jacob Gura Lighting crew: Jacinta Fatima and Meadow Flowers Cinematography: John Green Screenwriters: Mary and Clare Vining Director of Photography: Clare and Mary Vining Set designer and builder: Clare Vining We will be finishing filming this short at future meets. We also sang 'Silent Night' for the 2017 Christmas Reenactment, directed by Katheryne Smith. Altogether, we had so much fun! Hey guys! Film meet for this month will be held on February 17th! I can't wait to see everyone! We will start taking notes on what we have learned, as later some of our members hope to write a book on filmmaking! The script is now 28 pages long, and I am 2/3 of the way through. Then it will be time to 'Kill My Darlings', of which there are many. :-) I have a lot of cutting to do, like on Cyber Attack, which went from 80 to 39 pages. ITS A GOOD THING WE DID THAT THOUGH, thanks to Jim Morlino! We could never have finished filming the 80 page version of CA over the summer! This time I have to cut about as much. At this rate, when I've finished the first draft it should be about 45 pages. I need it to end up being about 15 pages! ~WOW!~ Once I finish the Seek First script...
