Exciting Light of Virsa Updates!! Special From One Of The Directors

Hey Everyone! This is Clare Vining. It's been a while since I've been on the JVGPictures blog, but I'm back to share so much exciting news about our current film, The Light of Virsa, which we are releasing through our our non-profit Christian Cinema Series and our production company Vining Sisters Productions! Light of Virsa production was intense!! We finally wrapped on Sept. 5th after almost a year and a half and 8 weeks of shooting! Now we are right in the thick of post production. The last 5 months have been filled with VFX work. Mary and I have learned so much, and are now quite comfortable in After Effects. It's hard to believe it was only 8 months ago that we first opened the program and felt so intimidated. Now that most of the VFX footage is done, we are smoothing the edit. We're currently on our 2nd run over the rough draft. We're so excited that as the edit comes together we can see that Light of Virsa is now a real film!! It just needs a lot of work.

The first demo reel is titled as a 'Promo Video' but still gives a good look at bits of our earlier films. 2016 Demo Reel 2017 Demo Reel In our 2018 Demo reel, we start seeing clips from Cyber Attack! 2018 Demo Reel The 2019 demo reel has clips from Cyber Attack, Seek First, and Dark Before Dawn, our three larger projects up to that point. 2019 Demo Reel We hope you enjoyed this snapshot of JVGPictures' films based off our demo reels! The Light of Virsa: First stage of filming complete!

Image
The first of three sections of filming for The Light of Virsa is completed! Thank you so much to all our wonderful cast and crew for working so hard to make this film a success! We are so thankful to each one of you for the work you have put into this film. From the fantastic crew (pre-production and on-set), to the talented cast, to the awesome transportation managers (parents), the dedication I have witnessed thus far is amazing. The hard work of everyone involved is a blessing beyond words for this film and the directors. I mean it wholeheartedly when I say that if this keeps up, The Light of Virsa will be the best film Clare and Mary have ever made. Currently, Clare and Mary are (besides winding down from two weeks of filming) working on beginning editing stages and starting to work on the script for the next part of the story. That being said, here is a sneak peek of some behind the scenes action: On Set Looking at footage... One of

Clare and Mary's Latest Film

Image
We are so excited to tell you all a bit about Clare and Mary's latest project, the Light of Virsa! The Light of Virsa is a fantasy adventure film about a boy who must save his last surviving relative and fulfill an ancient prophecy.  Auditions were on May 4th and we are so blessed by the great actors and crew who are volunteering their time!  Filming is happening in three parts, and the first part is almost over.  The Light of Virsa is one of the most involved films the Vinings have made, involving a real budget, not-that-fake swords, and an actual village set! Please pray for the cast, crew, and directors of The Light of Virsa, so that they can all do the best job possible. Thanks for reading! post by K. Smith
